Attention: To the parents or guardians of the Class of 2024 Seniors, you are required to attend two FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) sessions. You may drop in on Tuesdays between 8-11 AM. No appointment needed. Ms. Moses is attempting to complete all session 1 meetings before Dec. 2023. Even if your child doesn't plan to attend college, the meeting is important.
Mandatory Softball tryouts will be: Wednesday, November 8th until 5 PM and Thursday and Friday, November 9th and 10th until 5:30 PM. Also, a mandatory Work Day is this Saturday at 10 AM. Parents are encouraged to attend, if able.
MHS will host their Veteran's Day Program this Friday, November 10th at 9 AM. All Veterans are welcome.
The Junior class of MHS will have their Class Ring Ceremony next Tuesday, the 14th at 6 PM.
The Yellowjacket Cross Country Track Team traveled last Wednesday to compete in the LHSAA Division V Region 3 Cross Country Championships at St. Thomas Aquinas School in Hammond. MHS was well represented, and MHS is proud of you all!
Sunny Hill Baptist Church
Everyone is invited to come and join them as they worship the Lord. Sunday School 9 AM, Morning Worship 10 AM, Evening Worship 5 PM, and Bible Study on Wednesdays at 5 PM. Thanksgiving Dinner is November 19th after the morning worship.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
Sunday morning, Sis. Suzonne Garcia shared with us that when she and Pastor Garcia came to MHUPC 22 years ago, they had 16 members. Of those 16 members, 7 are still with us. Most of them moved away or have gone on to their reward. Currently, we have 125 members who attend on a regular basis. That is amazing growth! We invite you all to join us as we continue to grow. Prayer Meeting on Tuesday nights at 7 PM, Wednesday nights for Bible study and Children and Youth classes at 7 PM. Sunday morning service at 10 AM and on Sunday nights, we have Hope Alive meetings. Hope Alive is a Christ centered recovery group. Anyone with a hurt, habit or hang-up is welcome. Meetings begin at 7 PM, and supper and fellowship starts at 6:15 PM.
Thanksgiving Dinner is November 19th, after the morning service. Everyone is to bring their favorite dish.
