Good day to you all! I certainly hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. My mom and dad had a gathering at their house. All the family couldn't be there, but it was nice to see the ones who were. Now, it's time to get those Christmas decorations out!

The Mt. Hermon Garden Club will be presenting, "Tis the Season", a National Garden Club Show, this weekend. This will take place Saturday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 3rd from 1-4 PM at the Washington Parish Fairgrounds Flower House in Franklinton. The event is free, open to the public, and the venue to handicap accessible.
Silver Creek Campground will have their Christmas Drive Thru at the Creek starting next weekend, Friday and Saturday from 6-8 PM. The cost is only $5 a vehicle. Santa will be under the pavilion each night at 6 PM.
Mark your calendar now for the Mt. Hermon Christmas Parade, December 16th at 10 AM. Let's make this the best year yet!
Mt. Hermon School
The U. S. History students, taught by Mrs. Tracy Phillips and Mr. Troy Stevens, recently went on a field trip to the World War II Museum in New Orleans. While there, they walked through the museum's exhibit halls, and watched a 4-D film with battle scenes amplified by seats vibrating to explosions, the air filling with smoke, and even imitation snow falling. The students found it to all be quite interesting.
The next home basketball game is next Friday, December 8th at 6 PM. MHS vs. Pine. Come on out, and support our student athletes.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
This past Sunday, we had guest speakers, Bro. and Sis. Tucker. During the morning service, they ministered with singing and preaching. Sis. Angie Tucker shared with us her personal testimony at Sunday evening's Hope Alive meeting.
The Youth will be selling lunches after church (Dec. 3rd) to help raise money for camp.
