Hello, Mt. Hermon! I'm sure everyone has been enjoying the beautiful spring-like weather that we have been having. It's perfect for getting gardens ready or working in your yard. Please keep in mind that, as of Sunday Feb. 25th, a Burn Ban was made effective in all of Washington Parish. The pretty weather is nice, but we do need some rain.

The District 9 (Mt. Hermon) Fire Dept. would like to thank everyone who purchased a chicken dinner to help raise funds for the volunteer department. It's all about helping other to help others.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church

Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The Young at Hearts will meet March 14th, 11:30 AM, to eat lunch and fellowship at The Burger Basket in Osyka, MS. Anyone age 50 and older is welcome to join.
This coming Sunday evening at our Hope Alive meeting, will be testimony and chip night. Meetings start at 7 PM, but come early at 6:15 PM for some delicious food and socializing. Anyone with a hurt, habit or hang-up is welcome!

Thursday, Feb. 29th, the Softball team (JV and Varsity) will play FHS in Franklinton at 4 PM. The Baseball team will have a home game that same day at 5 PM, playing against Varnado.
District Literary Rally was this past Saturday at SLU in Hammond. MHS students were phenomenal! MHS had 17 students that qualified for the State Literary Rally, which will be held at LSU. Out of the 17 that qualified for state, 8 of those also qualified for a scholarship. MHS had the most to qualify for State or a scholarship in Washington Parish! That is amazing! The Mt. Hermon community is very proud of these students, and very thankful to have such dedicated teachers who truly care.
