The fair is here folks!
Our Washington Parish Free Fair celebrates its 109th year. Lot of spectators will be anxious to see the parade as it rolls through our fair city streets today, Wednesday, at 10 am. There will be lots of entertainment on the main stage and "Down by the Branch". Exhibits will be on display in the Women's Building, crafts, quilts, clothing, canning, baking, cut and potted plants and all kinds of vegetables. Then there is the rodeo, the livestock and midway. By all means, visit Mile Branch Settlement. The sweet aroma from the food booths will wake up your taste buds.

I will be celebrating my birthday on Thursday, October 21st. Believe you me, I'll have a blast! My plans are to be at the fair!
Thought for the week! What appears to be the end of the road may just be a bend in the road…so don't slam on those brakes!
Get well wishes to those who are sick, in the hospital and nursing home, shut-ins and the lonely. Our prayers are with you. Please pray for Lenard Lee, Alvin Tate, and my cousin Marie Vince.
Heartfelt sympathy to the dear families who have lost loved ones. May God comfort your during this time.
Until next writing, take good care of yourself. Hope to see you at the fair. Drive carefully. Be safe, wear your mask.
