Greetings to all my faithful readers! Hopefully this finds you feeling good and enjoying life to its fullest. I've been at school all week and enjoying the sweet students I've had in class. The past week or so has been a mixture of cold windy weather along with some beautiful sunshine. On Tuesday the sun was bright as I drove to school, then on Wednesday morning there was a thick fog, and I could hardly see to drive. After a couple hours the sun came out and had a nice day.
School days are moving right along and before you know it it will be May and school will be out for the summer. January 25th marked the 100th day of school. Most of the lower grade's wore their 100th day of school shirts. They celebrated the day and had fun.

The Quilt Seminar held Saturday, February 17th at the D.A. The Varnado Store Museum Annex was successful. The ladies attending enjoyed the unique demonstrations. Quilt binding was by Valeria Brooks, quilted vests by Beryl Jo Sharp, flower pin cushion by Leesa Pierce, string piercing by Jackie Smith, English paper patterning and quilt evaluations by Judy Jensen. Also on the program was Mary Beverly. Everyone was served lunch of pulled pork, salad, and dessert. Quilt chairperson, Jackie Smith, was well pleased with the seminar and things learned. Several also visited the museum. On display were old and new quilts. By the way Marguerite, Tina and I sat in the museum that day. Door prizes were given.
Couples celebrating an anniversary in February are David and Sharon Watson, Robin and Sue Burch, Keith and Karen Schilling, Walter and Dianne Smith, Jeff and Sabrina Thomas, Larry and Mary Ada James, Thomas and Ruthie Welch, and Roland and Jennifer Burch. Hope your day was a special one.
Please pray for the sick, shut-ins, the bereaved, and our church family!
Thought for the week! God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggle, and a reward for your faithfulness, trust him and don't give up.
Until the next writing take care of yourself. Prayerful-Nell.
