Hello once again to all my faithful readers! Hope this finds you feeling well and dealing with all the ups and downs these days.
Spring Revival at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Services will be March 18th-22nd at 7 p.m. Preaching the revival will be Bro. Caleb Martin. You are invited to join us for a spiritual time together.
Bro. Joe Paul Romano has been preaching on the book of Revelations the past few weeks.
A "Honey Do" Shower was held on a Saturday afternoon at Mt. Pisgah Church fellowship hall, honoring Payton Simmons, and Brandon McElveen. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion. Family members and friends gathered for a delightful afternoon. An assortment of finger foods was enjoyed. All the gifts received were gratefully appreciated.

My sister Jackie Smith was honored on different occasions for her birthday. The first party was in Hammond to hear Jacob sing our favorite Elvis music. Everyone enjoyed birthday cake. I treated her to a catfish meal at Kane's in Columbia. She along with family members gathered at Sheridan on Saturday night February 24th to eat seafood. Those attending the outing were her son Randy and wife Nicole Seal, Mark and wife Monica Seal, her son Greg Seal, her sisters Nell Smith and Lorell Morris, brother Troy Ingram and of course the birthday girl Jackie. All enjoyed food, visiting and some good laughs. Our comedian Troy can come up with some tall, funny tales.
On Friday, a week ago I had a scare. When I began to smell something (like something scorching). Bryan had been here for lunch and had already left to go home. I called him and he came to check things out but didn't find anything. I needed to go to town but decided to wait awhile. After a couple of hours, I decided to go to town. As I walked out, I stopped on the ramp to talk with the Lord, asking him to please watch over my home. When I returned the house was still standing. Again, I prayed thanking him as I have done many things.
Thought for the week! Dear Lord, I am so thankful that you are always present. I never need to make an appointment. No matter what time it is, I can depend on your presence. When you come to the Lord, there is NO waiting lane. His ears are always open to your cry.
Happy belated February birthday to Sergeant Mark Lionel on Feb. 20th, Ahrya Brown Feb. 6th, Jaslyn Hale Feb. 2nd, Jasmine McKenzie Feb. 22nd, and Russell Passman Feb 28th.
We've had lots of rain in the first week that was welcomed. There was a burn ban due to being so dry. Now the ground is nice and wet once again.
By the way I was a Jack Brown’s winner again. This time it was 50 big ones! I was overjoyed and blessed once again. Until next writing, take care and Keep on Smiling! Love, Nell.
