Greetings to all! Well folks, we lost an hour of sleep last Saturday night. Daylight Savings Time began, and it will take some of us a while to get adjusted to the new time. By the way it will give us an extra hour of daylight to get the mowing done.

March 4th through the 8th was Dr. Seuss week at school. On Monday was Cat in the Hat, wear stripes, and your favorite hat. Tuesday was Fox in Socks! Wear silly socks and shoes, backwards, inside out, or mismatched. Thursday was Thing 1 and Thing 2, twin/triplet day. Friday was Green Eggs and Ham, wear as much green as you can. Pre-K through 5th grade participated in the different dress for the week. They were cute. I looked forward to seeing how they looked. They also heard stories about Dr. Seuss during the week.
Every March 17th, people of Irish ancestry all over the world celebrate St. Patrick's Day. They wear green, sing Irish songs and dance Irish jigs. Also, if you were not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day you probably were pinched. This is something kids enjoy doing.
Art is on display this month at the D.A. Varnado Store Museum. Go by to see all the beautiful pictures by our Washington Parish students. The museum is open on Saturday 10 am-4 pm. And on Sundays 1 pm-4 pm.
We are looking forward to Spring Break, March 29th through April 7th.
Florine Sorrell's granddaughter Miranda is home from the hospital and doing well. The baby is fine. We are so thankful they both are doing good. Miranda was in the hospital for several weeks and was very sick. Also, in and out of the hospital is Marilyn Seals. Also Mrs. Janice Schilling is not feeling well- please pray for these and others who are sick. Nothing is too big or small for our God.
Signing off for now! Stay tuned! Same time, same station and take care. Love ya! - Nell.
