Easter greeting to all my readers! Easter is the most important holy day of the Christian religion. The rising sun is the symbol of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The date of Easter is not always the same because it is related to the full moon and the position of the sun over the equator. The earliest possible date is March 22nd, and the latest is April 22nd.
The Easter egg symbolizes birth and a new beginning. The tradition of coloring and exchanging eggs was started by the ancient Egyptians. There are many ways you can join in the fun of coloring and decorating your own Easter eggs. In research I found this interesting and wanted to share it with you.
As Christians we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. He shed his precious blood that we might have everlasting life. What a blessing that is for us. He is NOT in the grave. He is RISEN!

Last week was a very busy one for me. First, we had a week of Spring Revival with Bro. Caleb Martin, which was a blessing. I went to school for three days, a funeral of our friend, Donna Jean Patton, voting, church family dinner, and other chores. One could say it was a time of praising the Lord, sadness, and some in between. Monday I was delighted to be with Miss Jennifer Burch's first grade. They are sweet and smart boys and girls. I was amazed at how great they can read. Tuesday, I subbed for Mrs. Yvette Breaux, she works with third, fourth and fifth graders. My favorite that day was Mrs. Kristie's fifth grade class. Their lesson was on the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. This brought back memories when I took expression under Miss Hallie Love in the sixth grade. Friday, I assisted in junior high. I had the privilege of being in three of Ms. Tracey Phillips’ classes. I'm getting to know her, and she is a great teacher. By the way I also was in Trays PE class. You know I love basketball and that was special watching a practice session. Great week! Tired body! Ha! Ha!
My brother, Troy Ingram has a birthday on Friday, March 29. Happy birthday, we love you.
Washington Parish Schools Spring Break began on Good Friday March 29th through April 7th. The teachers and students have been looking forward to this week not having to get up early and come to school. Enjoy your week off, but by means be careful. There are only about 7 more weeks of school and then out for the summer. I have been looking forward to being off for a week.
