Easter is the most important holy day of the Christian religion. The rising sun is the symbol of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The date of Easter is not always the day because it is related to the full moon and the position of the sun over the equator the earliest possible date is March 22 , and the latest is April 22nd.
The Easter egg symbolizes birth and a "new beginning". Long ago some people even believed that the earth had hatched from a giant egg! The tradition of coloring and exchanging eggs was started by the ancient Egyptians. There are many ways that you can join the fun of coloring and decorating your own Easter eggs. Some ways of coloring eggs are using crayons, using checked, striped or plaid materials and tie dying. In researching, I found these interesting things and wanted to share it with you.
We all know, as Christians we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. He shed his precious blood that we might have everlasting life. What a blessing that is for us. He is not in the grave. He is risen!
The garage sale held at our church was a great success. Thanks to those who brought items and to those who came to purchase items. There was a nice crowd for the early bird shopping at 3 pm on Friday.

Easter Spring Break has finally arrived. Friday was the last day before being out for a break. School will reopen on Tuesday, April 19th. Some will be out of town for a visit while others will enjoy being at home. Only about five more weeks before school will e out for the summer.
Joshua Burch spent a week with his dad, Charlie, and other family members. While visiting, they carried him out to eat, to see a movie and shopping. He was here for a birthday celebration for Sara and Chris.
We continue to pray for all the needs in our community and surrounding area.
