Hello once again to all my faithful readers! Hopefully, you had a wonderful and safe Easter weekend. I must say it was a glorious Lord's day on Sunday. I was grateful to be able to be in church and had lunch with my son Bryan.
Everyone who was on spring break last week enjoyed not having to get up early and going to school. Time away from the books was welcomed. Teachers and students look forward to this time of year.
The azaleas are in full bloom. I have seen several different colors in our area, and they are beautiful. The wisteria is also blooming. When my granddaughter Breanna was young she called them grapes. They do look like a bunch of grapes.
My brother Troy had a birthday on March 29th. We met him on the Saturday night after to eat at Bourne's Restaurant. Jackie, Lorell, the birthday boy and I enjoyed a meal and time together.
Sara and Chris Burch celebrated birthdays on three different occasions. First party was at their brother Charlie's, then Evelyn's and last at Lafayette. Family members were on hand for all occasions.
Celebrating April birthdays are Samantha Bankston, Madison Rodriguez, Zoie Miller, Shirley Griffin, Destiny Lavignette, Mary Ellzey, Makala Welch, Adriana Bolotte, Santana-Lin Lewis, Cassie Lee Ann Pikey, Destiny Keating, Khalil Jones, Ian Vernon, Anthony Sims, Joshua Bennett, Corterio Williams, Tray Anders, Darnell Wilson, Jarvis Elzey, Faxon Lane Coleman, Charlie Michel, Laytroyce Tate, Devin Oalmann, Levi Tarver, Hunter Newman, Owen Nicholas, and Nathaniel Butts.
Everyone is till talking about the neat/useful items they purchased at a very low cost at the recent garage sale at Mt. Pisgah. We did have a good turnout and a good time visiting with friends and making money at the same time. It was nice to visit with Sherry Miller on Saturday. She was visiting with her mom, Frances.
My sister Lorell is feeling much better thank the Lord but is still under a doctor's care. Several are on the prayer list. Pray for Chloe Raybourn and Stacey Breau, who are in the hospital. Also pray for Chris Schilling, J.J. Creel and Joe Warren.
Thought for the week! "Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing." - Theodore Roosevelt
I'll visit with you next week - same time, station. Take care.
