Well folks, at the time of this writing we have had three whole days so far without rain, but who knows it may come down today (Wednesday). When we get rain for several days, we think we don't need it, but the Master above knows when we need rain. Thinking positive; when it rains, it cools things off on these hot days. Hang in there, Fall will be here before we know it.
I've already been to school a few days. It was great getting to see everyone. We have some brand new faces on campus this year. The students looked spiffy in the brand new school uniforms, bright eyed and ready to meet their new teacher, and classmates. It's a brand new year for learning and making new friends. We do have a few more new rules and regulations to follow for the safety and welfare for our students.
Celebrating August birthdays are Alisha Creel, Amie Mathes, Shaguenkia, Trinity Geer, Angelica Jones, Keondre Bunch, Quentin Bolderas, Angelica Leray, Sarah Dormody, Andrew Rawls, Patrick Weick, Connor Quin, Aaran Duncan, Dylan Barker, Noah Black, Ladell Lewis, Izzac Duncan, Ty Cerigny, Emma Kieffer, Jason Miller, Aden Gros, Jourdan McNeese, Kristen Gill, Brock Burch, Porcha Riley, Wayne Brumfield, and Collin Cassidy.
Tricia Thomas was suprised with a visit from Jackie and me on her birthday. When we entered the store, she was excited and suprised at our attire, a bit unusual. We had a few laughs and took some pictures for memories. She loved the visit, her flower and birthday card. We were happy to make her day special and loving every minute of it.
The D.A. Varnado Store Museum invites the people to see the exhibit on display. "Community Heroes Thru the Years" features items, photos, etc. of those who are currently and have in the past given of themselves in hard times and good times to make our community a better place. Many are first responders in times of distress and include law enforcement, firefighters, medical personnel, disaster response teams and others. Also included are those community servants and educators who have influenced so many lives." It will be through August on Saturdays 10-4 P.M. and 1-4 P.M. on Sundays.
Thought of the week!
God's provisions are always greater than our problems.
I'll visit with you next week. Take care-Nell.
