Greetings once again to all my faithful readers. Well, today, August 31st is the last day of August. Today (Wed.) makes the seventh day it has rained. You would think we would have enough rain by now. Water is very important and is one thing we can't do without for very long. I can remember when it was dry as a bone and prayed for rain. Let's leave all that up to the Lord, he'll take care of it.
Couples celebrating a wedding anniversary in August are Jason and Fame Miller, Mike and Ginger Lewis, Richard and Becky Foley, Paul and Lori Motichek, Duane and Susan McNeese, and Cody and Kim Mann. Hope your day was a special one.
A surprised and overwhelmed moment:
Over the weekend I was surprised and overwhelmed. My son Bill called me to tell me he had seen me on Facebook. I do not do Facebook, so therefore this was news to me. Then Sunday night my son Bryan pulled it up on his phone and there I was, a picture of me and two elementary students on the playground swinging. You see, I've done this many times before and enjoy swinging with them. To my surprise, someone had taken the picture and put it on Facebook. When I had finished reading all the sweet comments and names of those who had responded, my heart was full and over-flowing with the kind words and much love shown to me. It's for sure, I do love those sweet little ones and enjoy being with them, not to mention the few dollars I'm paid. One could say it's a two-fold adventure. I love them and they love me. To let you in a little secret the children always greet me with a smile and that makes me feel very special. They are always saying sweet things and bragging on me. I've been at MHS subbing going on eighteen (18) years now. I am most grateful and blessed to be a part of the MHS team! I thank the Lord for them.
