Once again, greetings to all you special folks out there. By the way I hope you enjoyed the three (3) whole days of beautiful sunshine the Lord sent us, after having 9 days of rain. I was worrying that the grass was getting tall. Bryan said to me, "Mama don't worry about the grass, when it gets cold weather, it will die." Good thought, I'll also save money on gas. Ha! Ha!
Jean Pate recently celebrated her birthday and I called her on the phone. She was delighted and surprised to hear from me. She and her husband Dave live in Texas. They lived in our community and attended our church before moving to Texas. We sure do miss them and think of them often. They are doing well and said to tell everyone, "Hello."
It was great seeing Carolyn Higgins at tghe grocery store. I had not seen her for a long time. She is doing good. I also saw this young guy in the bank and he told me he looks forward to reading my news every week. We chatted briefly, he mentioned to me about the ladies with red and white checked clothes that ran a few weeks ago. We laughed.
Meeting up with a friend:
On a recent Saturday night my son Bryan took me to eat at Popwell's out from Tylertown. Several of Bryan's friends joined us. There were lots of people there. The food was good, also the service. Well, us girls always have to go to the ladies room before leaving. There I met this lady, only to find out that her husband's name was Lavon Kemp. Now, you know me, I have to follow thru, now to find Lavon and talk with him. I did not recognize him; hadn't seen him since high school days. He went to Pine and I went to Thomas. We both were happy to visit briefly. As we talked about ole school days, his wife and daughter listened and laughed a little. He did remember coming to our house. His daughter had brought them out to eat.
Thank you Holly - for sharing about me on Facebook, swinging on the playground with two of my sweet littles ones at school. I've gotten numberous compliments. Love it - love it.
Get well wishes to Jeff Bankston who was recently in an accident. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
We are thankful that Cory Edwards is improving every day from his accident.
