Happy Thanksgiving Day to all of you! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. Many of you will be getting with family and friends enjoying the day together and eating a bountiful meal. Some of you will be on the road vacationing a few days and maybe seeing the autumn leaves. God’s blessing to each of you. We should be thankful every day throughout the year, not just on Thanksgiving.
Veteran’s Day was observed at churches and local schools recently. This day was set aside to honor and show appreciation to those who have served our country. I was invited to the Veteran’s Day program by Franklinton Jr. High Principal Miss Tiffany. The program was held in the school gymnasium. Special guests preforming in the program were the singing group, The Victory Belle’s. They put on a great show. I enjoyed the program very much.
Bro. David Grantham, a Gideon speaker, spoke at our church. He had been a Gideon for several years and sharing the Good News of Jesus. They made it possible to place Bibles in hospital waiting rooms, hotels, and into the Washington Parish Schools. It was very interesting hearing him share about Jesus. His wife Kathy was with him.

Thought for the week! I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show or any good thing I can do to any follow being, let me do it now... As I shall not pass this way again. William Penn
