Spring greetings to all of you! This is the last week of April and we have had another cold snap with the temperature in the 40's, Monday and Tuesday. Although it did warm up to around the 70's and it was pleasant. The forecast is speaking of a repeat of the same for next week being the first week in May.
School was out on Good Friday and the following week. We all were all looking forward to Spring Break. It was a well deserved break not having to get up early going to school. Getting away from the books was good for the students to rest their brains, because Lap testing began this week.
Thursday, April 13th, twelve Red Hat Ladies gathered at Morton's for their April outing. The hostess, Frances Schilling, had the tables decorated in an Easter theme. All received a door prize. The meal was delicious and the service was excellent. We had a great day. Thank you, Frances.
On Good Friday a crowd gathered for the carrying of the cross down the streets in Franklinton. It was in remembrance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Enjoying an Easter meal at Golden Corral in McComb after church was the Burch family, Evelyn, Barbara, Brenda, Sara, Chris, Charlie, Jose, and Brett. Their time spent together was good.
Sunday night, April 23rd, our four night revival was at Mt. Pisgah. Sunday night service was at 5 pm and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday night service was at 7 p.m. If you haven't been, you still can come on Wednesday night, April 26th. Our guest minister is Bro. Lynn Martin. You are most welcome to join us to hear some great preaching of God's word and music. A time of fellowship and finger foods will be held in the church fellowship hall on Wednesday night following the worship service. See you there!
