Greetings everyone -
I have something special to share with you! I have a little precious great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Watkins, born on Sunday, December 5th at 12:33 pm. at the Hattiesburg hospital. My little princess weighed 7 pounds- ounces and measured 20 inches long. Proud and very thankful parents are Jason and Jennifer Watkins of Tylertown, MS. Mother and daughter came home the next day and are doing fine. Thanks to all of you for letting this proud Maw Maw brag a little; it's not the first and probably won't be the last. Ha-ha!
During the Sunday morning worship hour, we recently recognized our pastor with belated birthday wishes. We sang to him, presented him with a card and some goodies. He was really surprised but loved it. By the way, he also got a big homemade brownie, one of his favorites. We love and appreciate Bro. Scott and his sweet wife Kelly.
Happy December birthday to: Cammie Dillon, Pansy McClendon, Alexis Magee, Mira Hodges, Jerrye Kay Rawls, Brittney Edwards, Sabra Fortenberry, Brandon McElveen, James Crain Brian Edwards, Camron Stewart, Isaiha Martin, Desmond Martin, Hunter Chatman, Dylan Owenby, Matthew Raymond, Kingston Bertrand, Charles Takeley, Kentfield Clark, Lidia Fain, Michelle Fain, Megan Miller, Lindsey Yates, Deandre Mobley, Malcolm Mobley, Thomas Hamilton, Austin Maples and Calvin Bokaro.
Thursday night, December 2nd, my granddaughters, Jennifer and Breanna, with their daughters Emily and Alayah came by for a girl's party. They arrived at 6 pm and left at midnight. We enjoyed Broccoli and Cheese soup, shrimp mold, peanut butter fudge, brownies, and roasted peanuts. The little ones played Barbies and decorated Christmas cookies, while we visited and watched two good Hallmark movies. Bryan their dad had supper and visited a while. The rest of the time it was just us girls enjoying our time together.
Get well wishes to Ms. Debra Burris. I heard she fell and hurt her ankle/foot. Also pray for those who are sick, in nursing homes, shut-ins and the bereaved.
Thought for the week: I've learned that all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.
Have a blessed and safe week.
I look forward to visiting with you next week. Same time, same station.
