Greetings to all of you!
Well, I'm still sitting in front of this window unit. I try hard thinking about cooler weather, but it doesn't seem to work. A good cold Coke or glass of tea helps. Whatever helps, do it.
Students wearing brand new uniforms arrived on the MHS Campus on Monday, August 7th, eager and excited to be at school, with the exception of a few who were not ready for the summer vacation to be over. Surely the parents/guardians were ready to get back to a routine. For me, I'm ready and looking forward to seeing everyone and those smiling faces. By the way, I've been missing all the "Good Mornings" and hugs. I'm ready for some more. I pray that everyone will join together to make the new school year a success. Team work makes that happen. Let's all get on board. Working together as a TEAM, we can and will have a successful 2023-2024 school year at MHS. Once again, I gladly say, "I'm happy to be on the MHS Team.
Happy August birthday to the following folks: Angelica Bailey Cutrer, Nettie Tate, Porcha Riley, Alisha Creel, Hannah Magee, Dawanda Magee, Shaguenkia Williams, Hanna Whaley, Wilton Ray Tate, Demetris James, Collin Cassidy, Isaiah Knight, Andrew Rawls, Conner Quin, Aaron Ducan, Dylan Barker, Noah Black, Ladell Lewis, Izzac Duncan, Amie Mathes, Trinity Greer, Angelica Jones, Breahna Palmasino, Lakenya Dillon, Gabby Coleman, Emma Kieffer, Adysen Taylor, Lydia Tullos, Ja'Maria Warre, and Samya Arboleda.
I visited with my brother, Troy Ingram, to find him doing some better. He sure did perk up to find out I had brought him a country lunch of butter beans, fresh corn, green onions and eggs, sliced tomatoes and corn bread fritters. He really enjoyed his lunch. Dessert of cherry delight and brownies were for later.
I surprised Ms. Nettie Tate with birthday wishes. Her birthday was August 2nd. She was happy to hear from me.
It was good seeing Mrs. Katherine Magee and Dianne Smith at Burger King. Thursday of last week Lisa Meeks and I joined them and had a great visit.
We have several on the prayer list. Continue to pray for those who are sick, the shut-ins and our church family.
Thought for the week! When you feel you're drowning in life, don't worry, your life guard walks on water.
Signing off for now. Stay tuned for more chit chat. Keep on smiling.
