Greetings! It's HOT Weather!
Hello once again to all of my faithful readers. Everything is really getting dry, and we are in desperate need of rain. Hopefully the Lord will soon send us some rain to help cool things off.
School bells ring again for Washington Parish Schools. It's time to get settled down once again and back to the books. We have lots of new faces on the MHS Campus. We join together in welcoming our new Principal, Stacy Bond, and other new personnel, teachers and students.
It was great to have the Watermelon Festival back in our Fair City. The three-day event was enjoyed with contests for children and adults, kiddie rides, music and rodeo. The Friday night fireworks show was beautiful and enjoyed by all.
The weekend before the festival, I was invited to the Watermelon Queen contest held at City Hall. The young contestants contest was Saturday afternoon, and the older ones were on Sunday afternoon. As each one entered, they introduced themselves and proudly walked before the judges. They all were beautiful and presented themselves well.

Mt. Pisgah Church children and youth enjoyed a tow-day retreat at Camp Living waters. Bro. Calvin Crowe and his talented family led the Friday night service. Attending the service were Frances, Janice, Florine, Sue and I. We enjoyed seeing the children/youth participate. On our way home we stopped at Scoop's to eat. Thanks to Florine for driving us safely there and back.
My brother Troy Ingram is doing ok from knee surgery. He also has kidney stones. If you know Try, lying in the recliner is not his cup of tea. He had much rather be out milking those cows or riding the tractor working. Pray for healing.
I talked with Staci Bergeron, and she is doing much better. She is thankful for answered prayers.
Have a blessed week! I look forward to visiting with you, same time, same station, Keep on smiling.
Nell
