Fall is finally here!
The official date was Saturday, September 23, 2023. The days are getting shorter as the days go by and it is getting dark earlier than usual. By the way thank the Lord for the rain.
There is something new at Mt. Pisgah. A class for all ages began Wednesday night September 6. "SPLAT" is the name of the class and stands for Share, Pray, Learn, Apply, and Tell. A meal will be served along with planned games and activities. The leaders are Fame Miller and Charlie Smith, and they invite children and youth to join them from 5:30-7: pm. Bring a friend.
We are still collecting our Georgia Barnette Offering for state missioners. Please consider your gift to the worthy cause.
Happy October birthday wishes to the following special ones:

Mt. Hermon Jr. High Homecoming was on Tuesday night, September 19. Participating in the homecoming court were the 6th grade maids Mackenzie Brown and Chloe Hartle; 7th grade maids were Joicelynn Hale and Taylor; 8th grade maids were Hannah Bruce, Kira Travis, and Amorie Bruce.
Each young lady was introduced as she was accepted onto the football field dressed in her Sundays best. Kari Travis was indescribably joyful to be chosen as Homecoming Queen!
The football game followed the homecoming court presentation. Mt. Hermon Yellow Jackets took the win over Varnado's Wildcats, with a score of 60-0. Making the touchdowns for the yellow jackets were Caymen Wilson and Javian Tate. Congratulations boys!
Please, please, pray for those on our prayer list. For those who are sick I pray they will soon be better.
Thought of the Week!
Faith isn't about asking God to stop the storm. Faith is about trusting God to help you through the storm. Just believe.
Well, my friends, it's time to sign off for now. I look forward to visiting you next week. Take care and be safe!
