Hello everyone, it's fair time!
The Washington Parish Free Fair is such a special event we all look forward to the third week in October; the 18th through the 22nd. The countdown is on, only six more days and we will be walking the fairgrounds seeing all the excitement going on. Believe you me there will be interest for all ages from the youngest to the youngest of the heart. I guess I fit in the youngest at heart category. I have always grown up attending the fair and as long as I can remember I went to the fair with my loving family.
Volunteers have been getting things ready for our fair. Many have been getting exhibits ready to enter. Who knows you just made a blue ribbon on your baking, quilt, crafts, flowers, photography, etc.
One of the best things about the fair is the variety of foods. The sweet aroma from the food booths will surely awaken your taste buds. I'm looking forward to some different kinds of foods I only get at the fair. One of my favorites is a funnel cake with powdered sugar; it's absolutely amazing.
I enjoy entering my baking, canning, crafts, flowers, and crapes every year; and anxious and eager to see if I won a ribbon on one of my exhibits this year after they have been judged.
Quilt tickets are on sale! Marguerite Lipani encourages everyone to buy quilt tickets now and at the fair. The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.80. The quilt ticket sale is always a favorite of the fair.

Johnson, Kylie Barber, Sharon Brunch , Stephine Provenzano, Kitty Simmons, Kyle Russell Hartzog, Jett Anthony Falgout, Rusty Smith.
Prayer List We have several on the prayer list. Join us in prayer for all these needs. In advance we thank the Lord for all he does for us in our time of need.
Don't forget to go to the polls and vote on October 14th for the candidate of your own choice.
Thought of the week! If you have tried to do something and failed, you are vastly better off than if you had tried to do nothing and succeeded.
Until the next writing take good care of yourself and be safe at the fair. Have yourself some fun, you deserve it! I hope to see you at the fair!
