Happy holidays to you! Only three more days in 2023 and then a brand-new year; 2024 is facing us.
My Birthday Celebrations
I haven't shared with you my latest birthday celebration. Many of you know that my birthday is in October and is always during the week of the fair. On Saturday, October 21st I began my celebration. I enjoyed seeing many of my family and friends at the fair and as always, my sister Jackie made me a cake. Several times I was taken out to eat. I also received birthday wishes over the phone and cards in the mail. Later at school I got belated birthday hugs and wishes from my sweet students. Once again, they made my day.
This year's birthday started on October 21st and ended with the best birthday ever. On Monday night, November 13th. Family and friends gathered at Bogue Chitto Café in Franklinton. The special guest was Jacob Eder, Elvis Tribute Artist from South Carolina. He put on a wonderful show and entertained everyone.
Family members attending were my granddaughter Breanna Graham with Alaya, and Jennifer Watkins with Emily, my sisters Jackie Smith and Lorel Morris, my brother Troy Ingram, my nephews Greg Seal and Mark Seal, my great niece Airel Seal. Also, my cousins, Barbara Gerald, Sue West, and Alvin Ingram, a total of 70 attended the festive occasion. Thanks to everyone who shared the special birthday with me.
My sister, Jackie made the two-tiered Italian cream cheese birthday cake, topped with a gold #83 and was enjoyed along with other party treats.
I received lots of hugs, birthday wishes and gifts. It was exciting getting cash pinned on me. Yeah!
The night was filled with great music and lots of fun and laughter. It was a night that will be long remembered by all that attended. Yes indeed!
Special thanks to Chris for allowing me to have my 83rd birthday celebration at the restaurant for the pretty decoration and preparing the food. A great job!
I invited guests that were from Tylertown, Jayess, McComb, Brookhaven, Lafayette, Denham Springs, Tickfaw, Mt. Hermon, Pine, and Franklinton area.
In closing, happy New Year's to you!
Please be safe, especially with fireworks. I appreciate all of you-Love, Nell.
