Greetings to all!
Sunday, February 11th was Soup-er Bowl Sunday, fundraiser for our youth. A variety of delicious soups, and deserts were enjoyed following the morning worship and held in the church fellowship hall. The proceeds will go toward summer camp. They appreciate everyone who supported them. Football fans across the country enjoyed watching the game and celebrating on Sunday.
We sure did enjoy being out of school a week for Mardi Gras. I didn't go to the parades, but enjoyed being at home for a little R&R.
Howard James celebrated his birthday on February 19th. Hopefully he had a blessed day.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of my special friend and buddy Richard Schilling on Wednesday February 14th. I'm sure going to miss him. He called me almost every day to check on me.

On Sunday, January 21st we honored my sister Lorell Morris for her 80th birthday. The celebration was held at the Mt. Pisgah Church Fellowship Hall. Family and friends enjoyed an afternoon visiting, finger foods, birthday cake, and punch. Lorell's birthday was on January 12th. Her birthday week she had out of town friends to visit. I carried her out to eat at the Bogue Chitto Cafe. She also received cake, cards, and went out to eat two or three times.
Jay Schexnider enjoyed having family and friends at his home for his fifth (50) birthday celebration held on Saturday, January 20th. Everyone enjoyed music, chit chat and a variety of delicious foods and chocolate birthday cake. Bryan and I went and had a great time.
It was good seeing Diane Smith a few days ago at Jackie's. She was sick in the hospital during the last election. She is home and doing better. Hopefully she will soon be back to her ole sweet self. We are so thankful she is doing better. Her sisters came to visit recently for her birthday and enjoyed being together.
Please pray for the sick, lonely, shut-ins, our church, our church family, and those who have lost loved ones.
Thought for the Week!
Encourage someone, If I can right a human wrong. If I can help, make someone strong. If I can cheer with a smile or song, Lord shows me how. Good exercise for the heart; bending down and helping another up.
We've had some beautiful days. The Lord sent us sunshine. Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. I look forward to visiting with you next time. Prayerfully - Nell.
