Fair time! Fair time!
Well folks, the fair week is here. When reading today's news, our great fair will be underway! The theme for our 111th fair is "There is no time like fair time." The parade will roll down the streets of our fair city today (Wednesday) at 10 am. There will be decorated floats, marching bands, music, dancers, and much more for the spectators to enjoy. For the rest of the week there will be much to see and do. Our fair always has something to offer for all ages including the young and old.
Many out of town family and friends come home for the fair. They grew up attending and look forward to coming to the fair. For some it's like a homecoming or a reunion. It's always great to see friends you don't get to visit often. There will be lots of people on the fairgrounds. Please remember to be considerate of others, they want to have a good time. Parents, make sure to know where your little ones are at all times. Come out and support our great Washington Parish Free Fair. There will be lots of traffic so please drive carefully. See you at the fair!
A special happy birthday to my dear friend Ms. Katherine Magee who will have a birthday October 20th. By the way I will be celebrating my birthday on Saturday, October 21st.
Happy belated birthday to Noma Roberts whose birthday is October 5th, and her daughter Mackenzie Roberts who had a birthday on October 2nd. Hope you enjoyed both of your special days with your family and friends.
There will be no Wednesday night service during the Fair Week.
Happy October birthdays to these special ones. Hope you all have blessed and fun-filled days with your family and friends!

We will man the water booth in the Commercial Building Thursday from 6-8pm. We will sing in the Half Bluff Baptist Church in Mile Branch on Saturday from 11:30-1pm. Come by and sit and enjoy a good ole gospel singing. We will also have coffee during this same time on Saturday.
Fall Revival will be at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church October 23-25th. The guest speaker will be Brother Lynn Martin. Night service will begin at 7pm.
I suggest planning for warm days and cool nights with maybe a little bit of rain. Be prepared, dress accordingly, and possibly bring a jacket.
I hope to visit with you next week if the Lord permits. Enjoy time with your family and friends at the fair! By all means, drive carefully and be safe. I hope to see you there. Prayerfully, Nell
