Greetings to all my faithful readers out there. Hope you are keeping busy and staying cool. To stay cool these days, one must be inside with the A/C going full blast.
Once again school bells are ringing. Washington Parish Schools first day of the new year was Friday, August 6th. My first day to sub at MHS was Wednesday, August 11th. It was great being back, seeing everyone, plus some brand new faces - facility and students.
My niece Rebekah Nickel celebrated her birthday on July 31st. Hopefully she had a blessed day celebrating with her husband and children. Another birthday greeting from Aunt Nell.
A few days ago I picked up the phone and called one of our community columnist, Christella to find on the other end a kind, peaceful and loving voice. Before long she was talking about people I know and you might say we had an interesting visit. I look forward to getting to know her.
My granddaughter Breanna, Tyler and children recently enjoyed a mini vacation before started. They went to Pigeon Forge, enjoyed the Comedy Barn and the Pirate's show.

Continue to pray for the sick, shut-ins, lonely, bereaved and our country, our community, those with COVID and each other.
Sunday, August 8th, our attendance was up. So good to see everyone. Bro. Scott's message was taken from Ephesians 4:30, "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. To grieve the Holy Spirit causes Pain."
Until next writing, take care of yourself and be safe. Wear your mask and use sanitizer for your hands. With God's help, we'll get through the rough times.
