Hello again everyone. School is out this week and Mardi Gras has come and gone once again. As I'm writing this, the weather forecast is looking pretty good for the next few days. Hopefully I'll get them ‘taters in the ground. It will soon be Spring and grass cuttin' time as well.
Bible Baptist Church of 29567 Hwy 424, Franklinton, La. ( Thomas area) will have revival Sun. March 5th - Wed. March 8th. On Sunday the 5th services will be at 10:00 AM and 6:00PM. Mon.- Wed. the services will be at 7:00PM each night. The visiting minister will be Bro. Paul Schwanke. The Church and pastor, Bro. Harold Gaddy invites you to attend. They are holding services under the "big tent".
Stateline Missionary Baptist Youth are having a Jambalaya dinner fund raiser. This will be Friday, March 3rd. Price will be $10 a plate. Dinners can be picked up at the church or at Williams Family Pharmacy.
Congratulations go out to our area "Teachers of the Year" Thomas Elementary school: Mrs. Teresa Minarik; Pine High school: Mr. Cody Cooper; Pine Jr. High school: Mr. Anthony Stubbs
Also, congratulations to the Pine Junior BETA. They ranked in the top five for their large group performance. They will move on to compete at the National BETA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky this summer. Two dancers from the group, Halle Seal and Presly Phillips, were selected as Premier Performers. They received Golden Tickets to perform in the opening ceremony at the Nationals.
