Pine High School: . . . .Congratulations to Bailey Brooks! She was recognized by the LHSAA at the State Championship games for making the All-Academic Composite Girls Basketball Team.
Midway Missionary Baptist Church on the Seven Mile Road was recently reorganized into a local body of Christ and are now having services once again. The service times as of now are, Sunday mornings at 9:45 for Sunday School and about 10:30 preaching. Also, on Thursday evenings at 5:30. The current pastor, Eld Gerald Givens and the church invites you to attend these services.
There will be a BBQ Chicken Dinner Benefit for Blake & Sarah Stogner on Saturday, March 9th at Elle's Mini Mercantile, in Pine. Dinners will be starting around 11:00AM. There will be a Benefit for The John Bruce McNeese family to help with funeral costs. This will be held at the Pine Masonic Lodge Saturday, March 9th from 12:00PM -4:00PM. Chicken plates (Leg Quarter, Potato Salad & Baked Beans) will be $10 each. There will also be a raffle and your donations will be accepted too. There will be a benefit for The Tammy Nobles family to help with funeral costs on Saturday March 9th. Chicken dinner plates of ½ chicken, 2 sides, and bread. The Lawrence Creek Community Yard Sales will be held Saturday, March 9th, from 7:00 am to 12:00 Noon. There are multiple homes participating in this yard sale. Just go down Lawrence Creek Road and look for the signs. Have fun.!!
