Throwing the ceremonial first pitch to open the Demon Baseball Tournament was FHS Alumnus and member of the Washington Parish School Board Frankie Crosby.
Frankie graduated from FHS in 1975 and was a 3-sport letterman that included football, basketball, and track, and was two-time All District Cornerback. He was the Vice-President and President of the of FFA and the Editor of the school newspaper. Frankie was also a member of the band for two years. He is proud to admit that during his senior year he only needed a half day of classes but chose to attend an entire day of learning.
After graduating FHS, he attended LA Tech for two years. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he became a Staff Sergeant in 3 years, serving 5 years 6 days and 3 hours.
He's been married to Tricia Bright for 37 years and they are the proud parents of FHS graduates. Between them they have 7 children, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Frankie is a paralegal and CDL driver but is happily retired. Currently, he serves on the Washington Parish School Board representing the people of District 8. He is now in his 2nd term and is proud to fight for our students, staff, and community. He's also an associate minister at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church with pastor Norwert Hills Jr. He is the coordinator of the food bank, that will soon begin distributing food boxes from 2nd Harvest.
