This Week’s Vernon Community Spotlight Residents are Ricky and his beautiful wife Sylvia (Faye) Brumfield. They have lived in Vernon Community for a couple of decades. They're some nice people to have as neighbors and friends in the Community. Thumbs up to them for being among Vernon Proudest.

If you need to soften butter without melting it, do this.
In the microwave, heat water to a boil in a glass. Pour the water out then quickly flip the hot glass over a stick of butter. In a few minutes the butter will be soft and ready to use.

King Cake Donuts
Fruit fillings - Your choice of fillings, Donuts, Sugar, (green, gold, purple) Vanilla or Cream Cheese Icing- Plastic Baby
Directions
Use a funnel to put filling into donut. Then cover donut with warm icing. Top with decorative sugars and eat.
