Happy Well-deserved Wednesday. It’s Hump Day! And it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Today I greet everyone in the Spirit of 3 words - Faith, Hope, and Love.
Scripture for Thought:
And now these three remain: Faith, Hope, and Love. But the greatest of these is Love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)
What's Going On
There’s about 24 days of school left!
As the 2021/22 school year comes to an end our communities will be coming together to celebrate with family and friends. We’ll be celebrating, congratulating and sharing well-wishes to many High School Seniors.
Past Happenings
We held our Annual Easter Extravaganza at my home for the children in Vernon Community and other areas. Whoever wanted to bring their children were welcome as always. The day started off with introductions and welcomes. The children discussed the true meaning of Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. They decorated eggs and cupcakes and 6 winners from each category won prizes. Many prizes were distributed to children and parents. It rained briefly and we moved under the carport and continued with fun and games. At the end of the day a grocery shopping egg hunt was held for every child. Babies-2nd grade searched in the inside front yard and 3rd and up searched in the outer front yard. Each child had Easter Baskets and were given blue cloth fun bags for extras.
Many thanks to everyone that helped made the children happy and the occasion successful.
“We Live In The Vernon Area too”
The Vernon Area Community Spotlight Residents this week are Larry and his wife Ramona Perkins. They have lived in the community for many years. They are some very good neighbors to have in the community and live next to.
Thumbs up to them for being Vernon Proud.
This Works
When filling your car up with gas, hold the trigger half way. You’ll get more gas and less air in the tank.
Spray a fly with Windex and it won’t fly anymore.
