Hello Vernon and Hello World. Thanks for sharing some of your time with us each week.

Fracking/Drilling
There has been oil or gas fracking sounds ringing throughout Vernon Community for weeks. Whatever is trapped underground behind the rocks, please come out!
If you want to know what it sounds like living next to what sounds like a loud noisy airport, or a gas chamber, come to Vernon and campout somewhere. I can assure you it won't take long before you will be on the MOVE.
Thank God I've been tired and can fall off to sleep but when I wake up it's noisy all over again. When leaving for work I say, “Thank You Lord” (happy to be getting away from the noise) and when I return I say “O Lord.”
Drive-By Baby Showers
I attended two Drive- By Baby Showers Saturday and both were outstanding. They were in Amite and both ladies (Crystal Butler, Creyaunna Johnson) are my beautiful cousins. I'm not sure why it's called Drive- By because their settings and tables were decorated beautifully. We took pictures, mingled, picked out some special made treats and received love bags. One setting was for a boy and the other setting was for a girl. Best wishes to them.
This Works: Use white vinegar and scrunched up aluminum foil to clean dirty gunk off the barbecue grill. Scrub to clean off all the greasy, hard, dirty goo.
Try This: Before you place the toilet paper roll on the holder, flatten it some. This will make it hard to have too much paper rolling off at once. This is very helpful if you have young children.
Weekly Humor: A cowboy rode into town on Friday. He stayed in town for three days and rode out on Friday. How was that possible?
