First Birthday Celebration
Railey Burris (my granddaughter)
celebrated her first birthday. The party was held in Hammond at the Oasis Hall.
The Theme was Cocomelon and he made a live appearance, surprising all the children. He danced and played musical chairs with them. Railey was sleepy and wasn't happy with him or anything. All the children had their faces painted, played pool fishing, and made cotton candy. They enjoyed nachos/cheese, hot dogs, sliced fruit, and a variety of sandwiches. The adults menu consisted of fried fish, drumettes, Shrimp Fettuccine Pasta, and anything from the children's menu. The children ate from the adults menu if desired. There was homemade punch, juices and sodas to choose as their drink choice. The Cocomelon cake was made by Coco Bean and there was a small stacked one for Railey to cut and enjoy. There were cupcakes for everyone in various bright colors. Each child had a turn trying to break the Cocomelon Pinata. After many wacks finally the candy and toys fell out and the race was on to see who could pick up the most candy. I think I won! Each child and adult left with treat boxes and food (if desired). The evening was beautiful like Railey. Her second birthday party will be given by her Grammie Debra in the country on the first weekend in December.
