SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The name of a child who drowned at an apartment complex in south Shreveport was released Tuesday by the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.
The child, 4-year-old Amelia Gray, was found Monday submerged in a pool at the Southwood Village Apartments, the coroner's office said. She was transported to the emergency room at WK South Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m., the coroner's office said.
An autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death, officials said.
