Parish schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Monday for Martin Luther King Day and Tuesday because of anticipated bad weather.

Parish School Superintendent Jennifer Thomas will monitor the weather on Tuesday and make a decision then about Wednesday.

Washington Parish Schools will be closed for Martin Luther King Day on Monday, and now there is a very strong possibility that they will also be closed on Tuesday, due to the predicted snow and ice.

A decision was expected to be made late in the day today (Friday, January 17.) Once the decision is made, it will be posted at era-leader.com and also at The Era-Leader’s Facebook account.
