The trial date for accused killer Scott Jordan apparently won’t be known until November.
During a pre-trial motion hearing this past Wednesday at the Washington Parish Courthouse, another pre-trial motion hearing was scheduled for November. Judge Alan Zaunbecher said he plans to determine a trial date during that November motion hearing.
Jordan is charged with second-degree murder in the 2017 death of Donna Arceneaux, which occurred just south of Franklinton. The death was investigated for years before Jordan was arrested last December.
The case was originally scheduled to go to trial on August 24, but it is not unusual for major trials such as this to be delayed, and even occasionally delayed more than once. It is believed that the Jordan trial could last an entire week.
