Game of the Week - Sumner (4-0) at Franklinton (3-1) This game was an absolute classic last season with the Demons edging out the Cowboys with a field goal in overtime for the Cowboys lone regular season loss. This season they are ranked #1 In class 3A and have circled this game on their schedule as their first big test.
The Demons are also coming in highly ranked in 4A and have the same record as they did last season at this time. The Demon's defense is playing well and their passing game has been prolific.
However, it will likely be who can run the ball and who can stop the run that comes out on top in this game.
This game will be huge for the winner as far as power points and playoff positioning. Should be a good one. (Important Note: The game is on Thursday.)

"We struggled to run the ball and block some of their movements, but we were able to make enough plays in the passing game to score. I thought Jacob played very well and that's what we expect from him. Starting fast was important, so returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown was a great way to get everything rolling. Defensively, the turnovers were huge. Our kids fly around and make plays on the football. We play fast and physical and we have a nose for the ball. It was good to see us put a more complete game together with two huge contests ahead of us in the next two weeks, starting with an excellent Jewel Sumner team this upcoming Thursday."
