Elouise Nielsen Robertson, 92, a resident of Franklinton passed away Friday night August 22, 2025 at Good Samaritan Living Center. She was a former longtime resident of Terrytown, LA. Elouise and her husband owned/operated a restaurant, The Spot Café, in Harvey for many years. She later returned home to Washington Parish and has lived in Franklinton for well over 30 years. Elouise worked at Barber’s Café in Franklinton for many years before retiring. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. Elouise enjoyed working in her yard, spending quality time with her grandchildren and “being the boss”. She celebrated her 80th birthday by going with family on a Caribbean cruise and she traveled to the Talladega NASCAR race a couple times, which she enjoyed greatly. She was always a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Sister: Carolyn Nielsen Hoffpauir
Former Son in law and Friends: Larry Erwin and Dee Ann Davis and their daughter Caroline
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph “Joe” Nielsen, Sr. and Susie Hill Nielsen, sisters and brothers in law Beatrice and Gerald Brumfield, Louise and Ezra Magee, brothers and sisters in law Joe Nielsen, Jr. and Myrtle Nielsen, Willie J. and Jean Nielsen and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Stateline United Pentecostal Church Cemetery at 1:00 pm Saturday August 30th with Rev. Eric Williams officiating.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to all the staff and residents of Good Samaritan for the loving care, support and friendship they provided during her time there.
