School is out for summer! I am ready to relax, figure out some projects to complete, travel, and just enjoy being with family and friends. We enjoyed our last few days at school together. Lots of changes are coming up this next school year, but we will worry about that later. I hope all of my educator friends have a safe and grand summer, as well as our students!
We were able to spend this past weekend between Baton Rouge and New Orleans for Gracie’s 20th birthday. Lots of activities were on board including TopGolf, shopping, the D-Day Museum, and of course eating. I highly recommend TopGolf it was amazing to have fun and relieve some stress. We met some amazing people over the weekend, there were so many that were just so sweet and uplifting. Our cab driver in New Orleans was actually from Franklinton!
Brother Isaac Makashinyi was our guest speaker at Enon Baptist Church this past Sunday. We loved being able to hear the word and visit with him. The Youth are selling Nothing Bundt Cakes for a fundraiser for Camp Fuego. Orders need to be turned in by June 1st. Some Vacation Bible School needs are pool noodles, monetary donations for meals, and volunteers. VBS is June 8-12 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. Please send your kiddos to have a good time and learn more about the Lord.
Condolences to the families of Phil Robertson and Linda Jean Folks.

Congratulations to Enon Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year Ms. Krystal Jenkins and Staff of the Year Mrs. Kaitlyn Watson.
Parish President Ryan Seal came to Enon to speak about littering to our students. Visit Enon’s Facebook page to check out our videos and pictures for the end of school activities.
Make sure to register for the Summer Reading Program at the Enon Library. There will be many cool experiences this summer, along with crafts and snacks.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Be safe and if possible, stay out of the heat. Until next time…
