Well Gracie made it home safely from Ireland last Sunday night. She had an amazing trip learning about the people and history of Ireland. She met so many folks from all over the world and has newfound “family” who treated her like their own, which did my mama heart so good. Today at church Gracie was able to tell her story about her trip to Ireland. She is so grateful for the support, prayers, and love sent her way. Enon Baptist Church will be having their next Men’s Bible Study and Women’s Bible Study this Wednesday night, August 13th. Blessing of Food will be August 21stand 22nd. September is our Georgia Barnette Louisiana Missions Offering. Our goal is $1,200. We are in need of washcloths, toys, purse Kleenex, coloring books, combs, socks, and $15 postage for our Operation Christmas Child.
Congratulations to Jace and Cameron Ball on the birth of Kirk Watson Ball this past week. Happy birthday to our amazing custodian Mr. Homer, Jeff Mizell, Doyle Ladner, Derek Varnado, Tessa Ginn, Randall Ginn, Melanie Jones King, our fabulous Gifted Teacher Lucy Parker, Jonna Newman Ard, Chelsea Thomas, Doris Dutruch, and Joanna Reber Perilloux. Friday night my family went to Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge for the Party Animals v/s Texan Tailgators baseball game. (think Harlem Globetrotters of baseball) It was a great time even though it was kind of warm, the laughs were totally worth it.
School is back in full swing, and I am telling you if you see me looking tired I am. Trying to fine my groove has been a rough start, but it will get better. Enon Elementary will have $1 Denim Day on August 15th and 29th. Go check out our Enon Elementary Facebook Page or website and check out our beginning of the year videos. Programs for the Enon Library for the month of August are the 14th The Someone New, 21st Butterfly, 28th Birds, Fun Facts, these will be at 3:15 pm. August 26th is the Teen Event Rock and Roll at 3:30 pm, and August 29th at 2 pm is Adult Scrabble. Congratulations to Dylan Rester for winning the Back-to-School drawing.
