We are so ready for a break and to have fun. I am looking forward to spending time with friends and family, good food, good music, and lots of goodies to buy. Oh! Don’t forget to stop by Mile Branch at visit us at the Jones Cabin!

Enon Elementary School 5th graders were treated at the Enon Library with two speakers from the American Legion, Mr. Jim Burdette and Mr. Phillip Bedwell. The students learned about the Constitution, flag, and the military. The students received a booklet and flag. Our students were able to vote for their favorite book at the library as well. We absolutely love our students, and they are learning so much. Be sure to ask your student about something they have learned this past week.
This past weekend I was able to go to the Franklinton/Pine game with my daughters, and we had a great time. Franklinton came out on top with the win. Then Saturday Gracie, Annalise, my brother Ron, Megan Jones, and I went to the LSU/SLU game in Baton Rouge. It’s hard to cheer when you are a fan of both teams, so you cheer THE ENTIRE TIME! It was a really good game and fun to see everyone. We were able to watch the “parade” down the hill with the cheerleaders, then the Mike the Tiger “Mardi Gras Float”, then the Band, and lastly Coach Kelly and the players. It was so much fun! (I can’t leave Tuba Kent, the 66-year-old band member out, he is precious) I hope you all have a great week! Until next time….
