The Washington Parish Free Fair is on its way! I love having time off but also love to be with family and friends that we may only see once a year or so. I can’t wait to see how our students do with their writings, art, crafts, and stage performance.
It is always so much fun to spend time in Mile Branch and sit on the Jones Cabin porch watching the people go by.
We are ready to get our hands on some of the cracklins, cheese and crackers, sassafras tea (I prefer it warm/hot), caramel apples, and sweet tea!
I do miss the days of preparing for the livestock show with my sheep, but those days are long gone. If you see me at the Fair, I would love to visit with you!
If you would like to help Mrs. Alice and Mrs. Christy with the parade float for the Washington Parish Free Fair, please contact them. They would love to have your assistance in decorating the float and preparing the throws.
There will be a Prayer Walk at the Fairgrounds October 9th at 6 pm, meet at the Stage.
Needs for Operation Christmas Child are crayons, coloring books, pencils, loose leaf paper, toys, pencil sharpeners, scissors, erasers, pens, and $15 per box for postage.
Our Youth will be selling veggies during the month of October; I will do my best to get the information for you asap. If you are interested, please contact me or the church. Blessing of Food will be October 23rd and 24th.
Enon Elementary School is looking for a School Clerk (Secretary). Applications will be from October 6thto the 22nd, testing will be October 22nd, and interview October 23rd.
Congrats to our Students of the Month and to our Teacher of the Month Ashley Stinson and Staff of the Month Jessica Easterling. We appreciate our custodians Mr. Homer and Mrs. Lisa and celebrated with them this past week.
This week is National 4-H Week.
October 10th is $1 Denim and Report Cards go home.
Remember school will be out for the Fair October 13th to 17th.
October 16th, 4th through 6th grade will perform on stage at 10:30 am, be backstage at 10 am.
The week of October 20th through 24th will be Red Ribbon Week.
