The Youth of Enon Baptist Church completed their Veggie Sale Fundraiser over the weekend. If you ordered, please make sure to pick your order up at Enon Baptist Church November 1st from 10 am to 11 am. We are so grateful for your support in getting them to Camp Fuego each year.
On October 31st from 6 pm to 7 pm EBC will have Trunk or Treat. We are still collecting items for Operation Christmas Child: Toys for all ages, loose leaf paper, coloring books, and $15 postage per shoebox.
The Washington Parish Food Bank needs chicken/beef broth, tomato sauce, instant grits, chicken noodle soup, hamburger helper, and top ramen. We will always gladly accept Box Tops for Education, Community Coffee coupons, and aluminum tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
Our classes at Enon Elementary School have been learning so much. Mrs. Lisa’s Pre-K class finished up their Ball Unit, Mrs. Denise’s Kindergarten read “Snow Day” in their Unit about weather and made snow in class! We appreciate all of our teachers and paras!
This week is Red Ribbon week for EES; make sure to check the new calendar or the Facebook page for the dress up days. October 30th will be $1 Denim Day and on the 31st Halloween costumes can be worn, but no masks are allowed inside. I can’t wait to see all of the cool costumes!
Happy birthday to Deby Pigott, Amy Long Carpenter, Cheryl Mizell, Steve Robins, Randy Stafford, Betty Jones, Frances Adcox Jones, Karen Hawkins, Jean Turner, Becky Mizell, Gloria Lewis, and our outstanding counselor at EES Jessica Easterling.
Condolences to the families of Hardy Jane Temples, Bob Coleman, Neil Martin, Randall Taylor, Samantha Barnum, and Sophie Mule’.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. I am grateful for the cooler weather coming through and can’t wait to start doing all the “cool weather” things! Stay safe and if you have any exciting activities going on, please email me at karen.thigpen@yahoo.com. I would love to hear from you! Until next time……
