Thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes this past week. I love and appreciate you all. It was a great week celebrating and being thankful, but oh so short.
James and I spent a few days in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I really do enjoy going there and one day would love to try one of the bathhouses on Bath House Row. We explored, drove around the mountains, went to Garvin Woodlands Garden to see their beautiful Christmas lights and the Chapel lit up at night. We ate at a variety of amazing places such as The Ohio Club, The GOAT, and Steinhaus Keller. I am looking forward to going back and maybe trying one of the “diamond mines”.
Enon Baptist Church had an excellent turn out for Parents Night Out. Mrs. Alice and company had fun for sure!
Some new items needed for the Washington Parish Food Bank are chicken or beef broth, top ramen, tomato sauce, Hamburger Helper, instant grits, and chicken noodle soup.
December 13th Children in Action will have Christmas Around the World from 10 am to 12 pm. Our goal for our Lottie Moon offering is $1,200. December 24th there will be an Evening Carol Service. The Youth will have their Progressive Christmas Party on December 20th.
Enon Elementary School will have Santa’s Shop this week. Items range in price from .50-$20. Check with the Enon Library for Scrabble times! Tuesday of this week is Scrabble, and I know another will be coming soon.

Congratulations to the Franklinton High School Demons for making it to the quarterfinals. Although we fell to North DeSoto (the number one team in the state), those boys gave it their ALL and did an amazing job! I can assure you they left it ALL on the field! The Demons will ALWAYS be a part of me, and I will forever love FHS Football. Being a sister to a player (and cousin, etc) and watching the brotherhood has always touched my heart. It doesn’t matter if I have a kid on the field or not, those will always be “my kids”. (I taught many of them anyway, so I feel like they are mine).
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Remember Christmas Break is right around the corner! Until next time…….
