What a Winter Wonderland this past week was! I love seeing snow, the beauty of it, it seems so magical, and then it melts! I really don’t care for freezing cold weather, but it was kind of fun seeing the magic in my girls’ faces watching the snow fall. They remember the last snow, but woke up to it, they did not actually get to see it falling. They have seen it fall in Tennessee before, but that is somewhere that gets snow fairly often, not here in Louisiana!
Of course, after a little while we were over it. I did break out my Flexible Flyer sled my Aunt Annie Neal gave me as a kid. It didn’t work as well as I thought it would and by the time mama said to grease the runners the snow was melting. We did use some place mats from my mother-in-law Mrs. Sally though and I must say they worked well! I only wound up in the woods once. (haha)
It was great being home spending time with family and experiencing once or twice in a lifetime things, but I know we will be glad to get back in to our groove this week.
We would love to welcome Ty Miller Ginn to the world, and into our family. Ty is the son of Karlton and Emily Ginn, he was born January 16, 2025. He is so precious and at only a week old he has already been able to experience his first snow.
