Y’all it is HOT! I know we live in Louisiana where you never know what the weather will be like, but dang! It had been hot, humid, and wet with rain. I took Annalise to New Orleans overnight for the rest of her birthday gift and we walked a good bit and whew was it warm. We had a fantastic lunch at Mulate’s. I wish we had gone for supper instead of lunch so we could experience a real fais do do. The music playing was great though, and so was the fish and shrimp. If you ever get the chance to go, take it. She had a great time so that is all that mattered!
Gracie is doing well in London, they have done a LOT of walking (they do take the bus, train, and “tube” over there, but lots of walking). It is warmish over there, but the main thing is no AC. I mean even in the Spring we have the air run just to circulate, but they don’t do that across the pond. They did make sure she has a fan though so that is helpful. She has been to a few parks to help spread the word of God, museums, and even a Harry Styles/Shania Twain concert. They are doing great work over there and so many connections to back home that they are learning. The folks who’s flat they are holding church in, the wife is from Slidell, the husband is from Knoxville, and her parents live across the road from the IGA in Townsend. (lol I think I have the information straight, a lot of God winks)
Please be in prayer for our Youth of Enon Baptist Church and the chaperones this week. They left for Camp Fuego Monday and will return Friday. I pray they have the best time and learn so much.
EBC’s annual July 4th celebration will be July 5th at Riverbend Campground at 6 pm. Bring some finger food, homemade ice cream, or watermelon and join us for a great time of fellowship.
Condolences to the families of George Barbin, Bart Palmisano, Sr., Raymond “Pete” Smith, Betty Sue Watson, Yashica Bickham, and Bobby Overstreet.
Happy birthday to Nick Dufrene, Molly Peck, Rachel Mizell, Alan Stafford, Katie Casanova, Darrien Creel, Shanna Cutchall Bennett, Hayden D’Luca, Beth Branton, one of our phenomenal 1st grade teachers Kristal Provost, Holly Tullos, Ryan Payne, Chris Provost, Todd Knight, Leslie Ann Modica, and John Comeaux.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. For the most part since coming home from vacation my summer has consisted of catching up with doctor appointments, dental cleanings, medication refills, and attempting to organize things at the house. Hopefully I can complete ALL of these things before school starts back. (haha)
One day I am going to plant a garden, learn how to jar/can items, and make jelly, but that may have to wait until I retire, we shall see.
Until next time……………
