Happy 250th Birthday to America! I hope you all had a safe and great time celebrating America’s birthday and the 4th of July! We had mine and James’ family come over for hamburgers, hotdogs, fixings, and dessert. We were able to visit Gracie via Facetime and have her talk to everyone about what she has been doing this past week. We didn’t get too wild, just watched fireworks and concerts on tv.
I can’t share all of the names of folks with Gracie due to safety concerns, but I am forever grateful to “P and D” and “P and S” for taking such good care of Gracie and the other interns working in London this summer. They have listened to them and picked up on their favorite foods, things, and places to hang out both here and at home to help keep homesickness at bay as much as possible. They have learned that Gracie loves watermelon and cantaloupe and each Sunday lunch has now had cantaloupe. They are their “parents” away from home and I am so thankful for their care for the girls.
