Illness is running rampant in our area. I know of many who have “the virus”, Covid, Flu, and plain old sinus infections. Please remember to wash your hands with soap and water, and Lysol everything you can. I am so ready for Spring (not that germs go away then, but still) so hopefully the warmer weather and Vitamin D from the sunshine will help us all stay well!

Enon Elementary School has been in a groove of learning cool things lately. Ms. Lucy Parker’s gifted classroom completed their unit on engineering plastic filters and their unit on making boats. 6th grade has been working on timelines in ELA and creating visual representations of the Dust Bowl era. 6th grade is also learning about Force and Motion in Science and were able to use “launchers” to see if objects can change direction.
Thank you to all of our Enon Bus Drivers; last week we had Bus Driver Appreciation.
February 28th will be Dr. Seuss Day at EES. Students can wear green from head to toe, or Red and Blue from head to toe, or stripes, socks, headpieces, or Dr. Seuss shirts, etc. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students celebrated their 100th day of school last week. Mother/Son Game Night was a success. I know they had a great time playing Bingo, having a Snack Walk, and playing basketball, and other games. Our 1st grade students were visited by Forty and Eight American Legion to learn more about our Nation’s Flag.
Congratulations to Ms Lisa Brimer, one of our Reading Paras, who won the Valentine drawing at the Enon Library. Our students have been learning about Mardi Gras at the library and made their own Mardi Gras masks.
Please remember school will be out the week of March 3rd through 7th for Mardi Gras.
