Those Franklinton Demons made it to the Superdome Friday night and did an amazing job. It was not the outcome we wanted, but State Runners Up is a HUGE deal. From a 3-7 record last year, to making it all the way to the Dome with one loss this year was incredible!
I am so happy this happened for Annalise’s Senior year and she and Gracie were able to experience it. Gracie went to the Dome with us in 2010, but she was 5 and really doesn’t remember much. I may be biased, and wishful thinking, but I have a feeling we may be able to visit the Dome again next year.
Congratulations to all of the coaches, players, support teams, and parents. Thank you for taking us with you on the ride of a lifetime! The girls and I are wondering what to do with our Friday nights now. Haha
Enon Baptist Church had Parent’s Night Out this past Saturday. The kiddos had a great time with Mrs. Alice and her helpers!
For Christmas Eve we will have a service at 5 pm to sing Christmas Carols and read the Christmas story by candlelight. For New Year’s Eve we will have a fellowship at Karl and Diana’s house from 6 pm to 9 pm. Just bring your favorite finger food.
The Men’s Bible Study has been postponed until after the first of the year. Youth Fundraiser for December is “Christmas Breakfast” at 8:30 am on December 22nd.
Congratulations to Hamp and Ashlea Robertson on the birth of their daughter Sydnei Teagan Robertson.
Condolences to the families of Barbara Varnado, Peggy Lyles, Kenny Lee, and Jo Anne Polk.
Happy birthday to Kirk Casanova, Annabeth Poole Hatcher, David Thigpen, Niki Watson, Jackie Fussell, Olivia Deleon, Alyssa LeBlanc, Avery Daniels, Cindy Stafford, Gary Gatewood, and Brandi Burris Casanova.
Happy anniversary to my brother and sister-in-law Mike and Natalie Sharp.
Friday our Enon Eagles were able to wear their purple and gold to support the Franklinton Demons! Our students have been playing handbells during Music this past week. Don’t forget that school will be a half day on December 19th, students will be dismissed at 11:30 am. Thursday is also Pajama Day.
I know that Santa and the Grinch helped out District #8 Fire Department this past weekend at the Enon Dollar General for a toy drive. I also hear that he will make his yearly trek to visit our kiddos as usual on our half day. I am so excited to see him!
Make sure to stop by the Enon Library and check out a book or two. The ladies would love to have you. You can also check with them to see what activities are going on as well. I know they have a mean scrabble game every so often.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. Until next time……..
