The Franklinton Lady Demons basketball team travelled to Kentwood last week to play a non district game with the Lady Roos. The Lady Demons came away with a nice 56-17 win.
The game was close throughout the first period as the Lady Demons were up 13-9 after the first was complete. They added on to their lead in the second as they out-pointed the Lady Roos 11-3 for a 24-12 halftime lead.
FHS was dominant in the third period as they scored eighteen points in the period and held the Lady Roos scoreless for a 42-12 lead. The final period was still all in favor of the Lady Demons as they scored fourteen to the Lady Roos 5 for a final score of 56-17.
Amia Bickham was the leading scorer for the game with 11 points, Akeilee McClain was next with 9, Jazirya Roberts had 8 as did Jamie Rushing and Alandria Warner, Ella Hall had 4, TaNya Cook had 4 and Jaliyah Bickham had 2.
The Lady Demons will go to play Academy of Our Lady on Dec. 2 before they will participate in the Franklinton tournament which begins on Dec. 3
