Drew Brown, the 16 year old son of Justin and Meghann Brown, is an art student at FHS in Mrs. Taffenie Mizell's class. Drew's artwork was submitted for the 33rd annual Federal Jr. Duck Stamp competition. The art competition raises funds to educate and engage our nation's youth in wildlife and wetlands conservation and outdoor recreation.
In the competition, Drew won Best of Show.
Drew's Louisiana Best of Show artwork will now go on to be judged at the national level where he will compete against students from other states. Each state’s winner's artwork will be displayed in Washington D.C for one year.
As a Ducks Unlimited member, avid outdoorsman and duck poultryman, Drew has a passion for waterfowl. He enjoys going hunting with his father, Franklinton Police Chief Justin Brown, and Drew says there's nothing more beautiful than watching the sunrise from a duck blind.
