The Franklinton Junior High Falcons delivered a commanding performance against the Pine Raiders last Tuesday at Demon Stadium, securing a 32-0 win.
Pine opened the game with a quick three-and-out, giving the Falcons excellent field position. Franklinton wasted no time, marching down the field on a six-play, 69-yard drive capped by a 44-yard touchdown run from Jemiah Roberts. Khalifa McClendon added the two-point conversion, giving the Falcons an 8-0 lead with 13 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
The Falcons quickly regained possession after an interception by Jayce Magee. Ty Causey then broke free for a 40-yard touchdown run, and Roberts added the two-point conversion to extend the lead to 16-0.
Following another defensive stop, the Falcons put together a seven-play, 58-yard drive, ending with a three-yard touchdown run by Dkari Williams. Magee ran in the two-point conversion, sending the Falcons into halftime with a 24-0 advantage.
Franklinton kept the momentum going in the second half, opening with a nine-play, 70-yard drive. Williams connected with McClendon on a 12-yard touchdown pass, and Jeremiah Ellis added the two-point conversion to make it 32-0.
Neither team scored for the remainder of the game, as the Falcons' defense continued to dominate.
The Falcons will host Mt. Hermon at home on September 16.
